Swim England
To become a Swim England swimming teacher, there are two qualifications you need to gain. The SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) Qualification course is the first step, which allows you to support a Level 2 qualified swimming teacher. We then recommend gaining at least three months’ experience as a swimming assistant before attending an SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification course. Once you have achieved your SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification, you can add to your skills to specialise in specific areas of swimming teaching, such as SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers qualification and coaching qualifications.
