We understand that courses can be expensive and not everyone has the opportunity to pay in full for courses. 

This is why we set up Triton in the Community!

Our not for profit sister company where we can offer free and discounted courses*, discounted training* and free swimming lessons* for children in the communities where we run courses.

 

We are also always hard at work looking out for funding available to help you, and have a list of current funding options available for you to apply for now using the links below.

Current Funding Opportunities

Below are current course funding opportunities , check now to see if you are eligible.

Grants for Individuals | Thomas Wall Trust

Thomas Wall offer grants up to £1,500 to undertake accredited vocational training up to level 3 and towards other costs associated with studying.

To apply you must be:
  • Aged 18 and over
  • Experiencing financial and other challenges e.g. disability, major trauma or a life event, mental health issues, carer responsibilities, care leaver, estranged from family, English language learners (ELL), child care responsibilities.
  • Have been unemployed for at least 6 months within the last 2 years.
  • Have the right to work and study in the UK, and have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
  • From a low income household.

Lawrence Atwell’s Charity – The Skinners’ Company – The Skinners’ Company

The Skinners’ Company offer grants for young people living in England and Wales from low-income backgrounds, to help them gain vocational, accredited qualifications.

They offer grants of up to £1,500 for people aged 16 to 26, to take courses (up to level 3) that will help them move into employment. Funding can be given for course fees, equipment/materials, travel costs, childcare and living costs. There are no application deadlines, so you can apply at any time.

To apply you must be:
  • Aged 16 – 26 (on the date your course starts)
  • Living and studying in England and Wales
  • A British citizen, or have Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK
  • Taking an accredited, vocational training course up to level 3.

The Prince’s Trust

The Prince’s Trust can provide young people with a Development Award. The amount of each Award depends on your unique needs, future career goals and personal development plans. Awards are available from £10 right up to a maximum of £500.

To be eligible for an Award, you must be:

  • Aged 16 to 30 and living in the UK
  • Studying less than 14 hours a week or not in compulsory education
  • Unemployed or working less than 16 hours a week

Development Awards can support accredited course fees up to Level 3 (A-level equivalent).

The Surrey Young People’s Fund

The Surrey Young People’s Fund provides funding for individuals (aged 16-25 inclusive) who are resident in Surrey. The purpose of the funding is to assist young people to move towards an identified goal in education, training, apprenticeship, or employment.

Grants will typically be up to £300 and will fund items that will directly enhance the young person’s employability skills, such as;

  • assisting them to obtain qualifications, certificates
  • developing vocational or technical skills

 

Diamond Education Grant

The Diamond Education Grant offers financial support to women seeking to enter or return to the workforce or transition into growing industries by gaining new skills.

The grant prioritises women facing significant financial need or barriers to employment, with an average award of around £1,000. Funding can be used for course fees or essential materials, such as books or equipment, but not for living expenses. Applications are open to women who are permanent residents in eligible Federation countries, which includes the UK. Preference will be given to applicants aged 30 and over.

Grants are available for courses taking place during the academic year from September 2026 to July 2027. The funding is intended for one year only, with vocational courses receiving priority.
