STA Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification
Begin your swimming teaching career with STA’s recognised qualification pathway. You’ll develop the skills and confidence to independently teach safe, high-quality and inclusive swimming lessons to children and adults, from non-swimmers through to advanced abilities.
Training covers core strokes, aquatic skills, water safety, survival and rescue techniques, along with a strong focus on practical, work-ready experience. You’ll gain hands-on poolside teaching time throughout the course, ensuring you are fully prepared to deliver engaging lessons and support swimmers’ progression from day one.
This seven-day course includes both theory and practical elements, a tutor-assessed workbook, observed lessons, and a multiple-choice exam. No prior experience is needed, but learners must be 16+.
Completing this course will earn you 10 CIMSPA Points.
