Triton Training ATC Appeals Policy 2024
Triton Training aims to ensure that all decisions are fair, consistent and based on valid judgements, however acknowledges that there may be occasions where a learner may wish to question a decision made therefore they can appeal:
• A Tutor assessment decision
• An internal verification decision
• An external verification decision
• Or any other decision made by Triton Training
This policy will outline clear guidance for the learner should they wish to enquire or appeal against an assessment decision, they will have clear guidelines on how to do so. In the first instance, learners wishing to appeal against results must follow Triton Training’s appeals process through to the end only then when the learner continues to remain dissatisfied with the outcome should they contact relevant awarding body for the qualification they are working towards. This can be Swim England Qualifications, Swimming Teachers Association or RLSS. All learners will be informed of this procedure and its importance during the first hour (induction) of the course.
Triton Training ATC Cancellation & Refund Policy 2024
Triton Training aims to provide an efficient and effective service to all along with a fair and reasonable policy with regards to cancellation and refunds. The aim of this policy is to provide a clear and structured process which highlights who can cancel, how they can cancel and what Triton Training will do to refund course fees. Therefore, Triton Training aims to ensure that:
• Cancelling a course is as easy as possible.
• Communication is timely and clear.
• The right response is provided, such as confirmation of cancellation and refund, where possible an alternative resolution if cancellation and refund are not possible.
Triton Training ATC Complaints Policy 2024
Triton Training aims to provide an efficient and effective service to all. However, whilst every care is taken to ensure high quality standards, we acknowledge that there may be occasions where we fall short of expectations and individuals are not completely satisfied. One of the ways in which we can continue to improve our service is by listening and responding to the views of our learners, hired venues or others involved with any aspect of course delivery and in particular responding positively and putting mistakes right. Triton Training is committed to providing individuals directly affected by our services with the opportunity to provide feedback on whether or not standards have been met. Our learners hired venues or others involved in course delivery must have confidence that they will be listened to, therefore all feedback received, both positive and negative, will be acknowledged. All expressions of dissatisfaction received will be treated as a complaint. The aim of this policy is to provide a clear and structured process which highlights who can make a complaint (the complainant), how they can make a complaint and what Triton Training will do to seek a resolution to the complainant’s satisfaction.
Therefore Triton Training aims to ensure that:
• Making a complaint is as easy as possible
• The right response is provided, such as an explanation, apology or action taken.
• Complaints are reviewed to improve service
Triton Training ATC Conflict of Interest Policy 2024
The aim of Triton Training is to ensure that learners undertaking a Triton Training course, training or activity provided by Triton Training can do so honestly, fairly and with integrity, objectivity, due skill, care and diligence. Triton Training proactively manages any conflict of interest in any part of the organisation. Triton Training acknowledges that conflicts of interest can be direct and obvious or indirect and perceived. Therefore Triton Training seeks to put measures in pace to ensure propriety is assured at all times.
This policy has been established to safeguard the integrity and credibility of Triton Training courses and in addition, it aims to promote public confidence in the objectivity and impartiality of all Triton Training activities.
This policy will:
• Draw attention to potential conflict of interest (COI) situations
• Establish clear standards for dealing with COI
• Reduce the possibility of COI in relation to Triton Training.
• Provide the means to identify and resolve COI.
• This policy applies to all Triton Training staff and other individuals that interact or potentially interact with the Triton Training.
Triton Training ATC Data Protection Policy 2024
The Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) was introduced to establish a framework for the protection of personal or sensitive data and is underpinned by a set of eight principles. By processing data in accordance with the data protection principles, Triton Training will ensure the safeguarding of data for all individuals engaged with the assessment, delivery and award of Swim England, STA and RLSS qualifications.

Triton Training recognises that the efficient management of its records is necessary to support the core functions of the company and to comply with its legal and regulatory obligations. This document provides the policy framework through which this effective management can be achieved and audited.
Triton Training ATC Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy 2024

• Minimise any barriers to participation in qualifications in order to promote equality and diversity.
• Ensure all qualifications are delivered and assessed free from bias, do not advantage or disadvantage any learners unfairly and use clear language.
• Ensure where equality and diversity allegations are made that a full and objective investigation takes place following appropriate procedures.
Triton Training ATC Health & Safety Policy 2024
Triton Training is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for all its employees and learners. Triton Training will comply with its legal duties for Health and Safety and maintain effective Health and Safety arrangements to identify risks and prevent injury and ill heath, as far as is reasonably practicable, to colleagues, learners, volunteers, and other persons whilst delivering, assessing or attending partner premises or conducting the business of Triton Training.
Triton Training expects its employees when operating on third party premises to conduct themselves in a manner as abides by any local health and safety rules and procedures and as reflects Triton Training’s commitment to managing health and safety. It also recognises that Health and Safety is a business function that is as important as other management functions and must, therefore, continually be reviewed and adapt to changes in the business.
The approach which Triton Training takes to Health and Safety is based on the identification and control of risks. Triton Training and its Directors will ensure that appropriate levels of resources are allocated to maintain Health and Safety within Triton Training and to create a safe and healthy working environment. A positive culture of awareness and engagement with Health and Safety issues will be encouraged within Triton Training and all Directors and tutors shall actively support and promote this Policy Statement.
Triton Training ATC Learner Induction Policy 2024
At Triton Training we believe that good inductions are vital in ensuring learners feel safe, informed and included as well as making sure that accurate information on the expectations and tutor/learner responsibilities are understood. This policy is agreed by the Triton Training Quality Manager and all Tutors and details the most important aspects of a learner induction. Following this policy and procedure will ensure that all tutors are delivering a standardised induction to learners enrolled on a course with Triton Training and details our commitment to making sure that every learner is informed of and has access to all necessary information and documentation at the start of their course, helping them get the best from their time at Triton Training.
Triton Training ATC Learner Initial Assessment Policy 2024
This policy applies to all learners who enrol onto a course programme with Triton Training. It details our commitment to making sure that every learner is working toward an appropriate programme of learning that has been discussed and agreed based on a thorough initial assessment.
Initial assessment forms one of the first experiences our learners have with us and will influence their initial impression and expectations of their course. It represents the first stage in the learning cycle and starts from the first contact we have with a prospective learner and continues to the point where we agree an individual plan of learning with them. The process of initial assessment is used to determine a learner’s suitability for a course, existing skill level and establish their starting point. This also provides the baseline on which to measure how a learner progresses.
Triton Training ATC LEE Audit Policy 2024
Triton Training must check that the learners attending courses are who they say they are (Learner existence) and that they meet the entry requirements (Learner eligibility) in accordance with regulations set in place by the relevant awarding body for the qualification being taken. The eligibility and existence of all learners on a course must be established at the start of their programme. Learner Existence Identification should be photographic, however sometimes this is not possible. Please refer to the list below which are examples of identification Triton Training deem acceptable:
• Passport
• Driving license
• ID card or other form of national ID
• National Insurance Card
• Photographic security pass for current place of employment
• Armed Forces service ID
• Birth certificate (and corresponding marriage certificate if applicable)
Triton Training will accept all of the above forms of identification as acceptable, the above list is examples and not exhaustive. The request to use any other forms of Learner Existence Identification should be submitted in writing to The Triton Training Quality Manager by email at Info@tritontraining.co.uk and by the learner requesting acceptance of another form of Learner Existence Identification.
Triton Training ATC Malpractice and Maladministration Policy 2024

Triton Training ATC Prevent Policy 2024
The Prevent Strategy is the response to the ideological challenge of terrorism and the threat from those who promote it; to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism and ensure that they are given appropriate advice and support. The situation in Britain regarding radicalisation is one where there can be significant threats from the extreme far right, dissident republicans and some Muslim groups. This strategy is not limited by age; this is reflected through all work completed at Triton Training.

Triton Training aims to provide an efficient and effective service to all along with a fair and reasonable policy with regards to reassessment. The aim of this policy is to provide a clear and structured process which highlights the terms of reassessment for learners who do not fulfil the course requirements at the initial point of assessment. Triton Training aims to ensure that:
• Learner reassessment is as easy as possible.
• Communication is timely and clear.
• The right response is provided, such as confirmation of reassessment.

Triton Training ATC Recognition of Prior learning Guidance 2024
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a process to prevent learners from being assessed repeatedly for knowledge, skills or understanding that they already have. It will allow those involved in swimming teaching and lifesaving that already have the knowledge, skills or understanding, gained from continuous learning that may have occurred over a number of years or hours, to achieve the qualification without having to complete a course.
This Policy is designed to assist Triton Training as an Approved Training Centre with developing a simple process for recognising a prior achievements and/or experience.
Triton Training ATC Safeguarding Policy 2024
Triton Training aims to maintain the highest possible standards which meet social, moral and legal obligations to protect and safeguard the welfare of children. Through promotion of this policy, Triton Training will ensure that this policy is available to all learners. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adult is everyone’s responsibility and you should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child or vulnerable adult.
Triton Training ATC Special Considerations or Reasonable Adjustments Form 2024
Triton Training ATC Special Considerations and Reasonable Adjustments Policy 2024
Triton Training will offer appropriate support to those learners that require adjustments and considerations during their learning and assessment whilst ensuring the integrity of the qualification. Our aim is to facilitate open access for all Learners who are eligible for reasonable adjustments or special considerations in assessments, whilst ensuring the assessment of understanding, knowledge, skills and competence is not compromised in any way for all of the protected characteristics within the Equality Act 2010. Please also refer to our Equality and Diversity Policy. Reasonable Adjustments and Special Considerations can be applied to all of our qualifications. For specific qualification requirements, please check the Qualification Specification and/or Assessment Strategy. It is worth noting that Swim England Qualifications and STA Qualifications, are currently all assessed through the development of a portfolio of evidence. This is produced at the pace of the individual and so adjustments and particularly considerations during assessment are unlikely to be needed.

This policy seeks to set comprehensive guidelines which define the roles and responsibilities of the Triton Training directors and tutors in supporting and promoting sustainable development. The policy details our commitment to achieving environmental, social and economic growth simultaneously in accordance with the UK’s Framework for Sustainable Development. It ensures that environmental protection and the sustainability agenda underpin programme planning, development and delivery through careful use of natural resources and by recognising the basic rights of everyone to live a quality life based on principle of environmental and social sustainability.
Triton Training ATC Whistleblowing Policy 2024
Triton Training wishes to conduct all business with integrity at all times. Triton Training actively encourages the reporting of any working practices that are dangerous, illegal, unethical or fraudulent and to protect those reporting these. Triton Training understands that at times things go wrong and mistakes can be made. A culture of reporting and transparency in such instances is encouraged so that immediate action can be taken to remedy any mistakes or wrong doing and that policies, procedures and practices can be amended to ensure future appropriateness.
